We are pleased to learn of your interest in a position with the Jackson County School System.
The following items are required to complete your application packet:
Substitute Teacher Positions * Application thoroughly completed * Two (2) reference forms appropriately distributed, completed, and returned. * Copy of your high school diploma, GED certificate, or college transcript. * * Background Check: It is now necessary to have a fingerprint check performed on all substitute teachers and new employees. The fingerprint process is done at the central office at a fee of $45.00 (exact cash/money order). You do not need an appointment, and the scheduled dates are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (8:00 - 3:30).
Certified Teaching Positions: * Original/Copy of your official college transcripts. * Three (3) reference forms appropriately distributed, completed, and returned. * Background Check: It is now necessary to have a fingerprint check performed on all substitute teachers and new employees. The fingerprint process is done at the central office at a fee of $45.00 (exact cash/money order). You do not need an appointment, and the scheduled dates are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (8:00 - 3:30).

For classified applicants, please return additional documents to the Personnel Department.
For substitute applicants, please return additional documents to Helen Farmer at the central office.
Additionally, a personal interview is necessary to finalize the application process. It is suggested that you not make a special trip for an interview unless there is a possibility for a position in your field. You will be invited to schedule an appointment for an interview if a suitable position is anticipated in your area of certification when your application folder is complete. This application will remain in our files for two years from the date received.
